Lauren is the Founder of Black Girls Smile, Inc., an organization dedicated to encouraging positive mental health education, support, and resourced geared toward young African American women.  Lauren has worked on various mental health advocacy and educational initiatives including working with the Clinton Global Initiative University, SXSW and the United Way. She has over 10 years of work experience, including 7 years of non-profit management, leadership, partnership development and strategic planning.

Sandra Williams, LPC, Clinical Mental Heath Training Facilitator. Sandra is a licensed professional counselor with T2S Enterprises, LLC, an organization comprised of programs designed to minimize the negative impact of mental illness through the provision of high quality, easily accessible mental health services.

Lydia C. Bailey-Padgett, EdS, MEd, MLA, LPC, Community Outreach Coordinator (South Carolina) is the owner of BMoore Counseling and Consultation Services founded in 2008.  Her private practice provides counseling, consulting, training, and educational workshops to individuals and groups. She has 20 plus years of experience in the counseling field which includes developing mental health awareness programs in the private and public sectors. Lydia has been a college professor of psychology and professional counseling for over 15 years. She conducts community engagement educational workshops about the signs, symptoms, and treatment for mental illnesses.

Tamu Lewis, Co-Founder and Board President and sister of Lee Thompson Young. Tamu is a Director in Deal Advisory Services at KPMG. She specializes in compensation strategy, philosophy, program design and administration, as well as job architecture development. Tamu has over 25 years of work experience, including roles in human resources consulting and corporate focusing in compensation and performance management. She is the author of the book Surviving The Mental Health Tank, where she shares 5 keys to cultivating emotional well-being for yourself and your loved ones.

Kisha B. Holden, PhD, MSCR, a counseling psychologist, is the Poussaint-Satcher Endowed Chair in Mental Health and Associate Director of the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM). Also at MSM, Dr. Holden is Professor and Director of Research & Scholarship for the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences; and Professor in the Department of Community Health & Preventive Medicine.

Stephen Lewis is the President of the Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE), which focuses on cultivating a new generation of Christian leaders. He has more than 15 years of experience in corporate and nonprofit leadership, strategic planning, program development and group facilitation.

Justin Little is a Sales & Operations Leader at Cox Business. He is also the founder and host of “The Mental Wealth Podcast” with listeners in over 25 countries. His podcast focuses on fostering conversations on all things mental health, wellness & mindfulness. He also is a mental health advocate & survivor, a motivational speaker, wellness coach & former voice over artist.

Velma E. Love, PhD., Co-founder and mother of Lee Thompson Young. Dr. Love is the author of “Divining the Self: a Study in Yoruba Myth and Human Consciousness” (Penn State University Press, 2012). She was the Project Director for “Equipping the Saints: Promising Practices in Black Congregational Life,” a Lilly Endowment funded project at Howard University School of Divinity in Washington, DC.

 

Etienne Maurice is a Los Angeles native, born to a Jamaican-American mother and Afro-European father. Etienne is a filmmaker, actor, and activist, who is dedicated to using his creative passions for social change. As a response to the injustices against Black and Brown people, he created WalkGoodLA. Etienne's mission is to build his community in the virtual and physical space through the arts, health, and wellness.

B. Nilaja Green, PhD. is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with the Atlanta Department of Veterans Affairs and owner of Standpoint Therapy and Organizational Consulting, Inc. in Atlanta, GA. She specializes in work general mental health, trauma-informed therapy, severe mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders for which she provides interpersonal approaches for recovery oriented care. Dr. Green is an LTYF Advisory Board Member.

Justin Rowe Tolliver is a graduate of the University of Southern California and 2x NCAA national champion. He previously owned and operated “Justin’s Seafood” in Houston, Texas, and represented athletes & entertainers in real estate transactions in both Los Angeles and New York. He is the founder of Tolliver Productions, a film production company that produces documentaries and short films. Justin is an LTYF Advisory Board Member and he will use his talents to assist with LTYF events and development efforts.
